Cadillac showcases the 2020 Cadillac XT6 in a new commercial, highlighting that the “sporty” “spacious” SUV, which offers seating for up to seven, is “crew ready”.
The 60-second ad, directed by acclaimed film directors Anthony and Joe Russo (known for directing Captain America 2 & 3, Marvel’s The Avengers 3 & 4), features several groups of people – from a group of rocker dads to a team of powerful stuntwomen – as they’re strutting towards the 2020 Cadillac XT6 and hit the road together.
“Everyone has a crew. A stone-cold, never-blink, walk-in-slow-motion crew. Three rows built for everyone,” the voiceover says, while on screen the squads are seen riding together.
Wendy Lee Szany from The Movie Couple is among the featured actors. For the campaign, the automaker has also teamed up with BULLITT, a filmmakers’ collective, creative studio, and marketing think tank founded by the Russo Brothers, director Justin Lin (whose portfolio includes the Fast & the Furious franchise and Star Trek: Beyond), and Todd Makurath, who serves as Chairman.
The song used in the ad is the 2018 single “Welcome to the Party” by music producer Diplo, French Montana, Lil Pump, featuring guest vocals from American singer Zhavia Ward, from the soundtrack to the 2018 film “Deadpool 2”.
Deborah Wahl, Cadillac’s chief marketing officer, said in a press statement that “The XT6’s ‘Crew Ready’ campaign signifies a new way of thinking about Cadillac SUVs”. “XT6 customers are always ready for an adventure, and we knew closely partnering with the directors of the highest ever grossing film, the Russo brothers, and Bullitt was the perfect way to bring this vision to life,” she also said.
The 2020 XT6 starts at $53,690 and is on sale now.
