The trailer for the upcoming comedy film Playing With Fire has been released.
The film, directed by Andy Fickman from a screenplay by Dan Ewen and Matt Lieberman, stars John Cena as straight-laced fire superintendent Jake Carson, who, together with his elite team of expert firefighters (Keegan-Michael Key, John Leguizamo and Tyler Mane), comes to the rescue of three siblings in the path of an encroaching wildfire.
According to the official synopsis, the firefighters “quickly realize that no amount of training could prepare them for their most challenging job yet – babysitters.” Unable to locate the children’s parents, they “have their lives, jobs and even their fire depot turned upside down and quickly learn that kids – much like fires – are wild and unpredictable”.
The cast also includes Brianna Hildebrand, Christian Convery and Finley Rose Slater as the three kids and Judy Greer as Dr. Amy Hicks.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse into the adventures of Carson and his fellows, who find themselves in all kinds of unexpected and surprising situations.
The soundtrack music is “Ring of Fire” by American punk rock band Social Distortion, from their eponymous third studio album, released in 1990.
Playing with Fire, originally set to be released on March 20, 2020, launches in theaters this fall, on November 8, 2019.
