Volvo showcases the new Volvo XC90 T8 Plug-in Hybrid in a new commercial.
The spot features a young couple as they’re going places with the luxury SUV. They are seen at the seaside, on a desert beach, driving down a coastal road and having the car transported on a platform, on the sea.
“XC90. Recharged.” an onscreen line reads toward the end of the ad, which is set to the tune of the 2018 single “I Need Your Love” by Swedish singer, songwriter and musician Albin Lee Meldau, from his debut album, “About You,” released in June 2018.
Described as “luxury car with purpose,” the new XC90 features a uniquely Scandinavian sense of craftsmanship and ingenuity, with ample space for passengers (being available with four, five, six or seven seats, depending on trim) and a flexible load compartment with up to 1868 liters of space, a range of electrified powertrains that includes mild hybrids and T8 Twin Engine models capable of zero-emissions travel, smart connectivity services, and a suite of ….. such as Pilot Assist, City Safety, which comes standard for every XC90, which identifies potential hazards such as other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and large animals ahead and warns you if it detects an imminent collision and even applies the brakes to help avoid or mitigate a collision if you don’t react in time.
Other key features include LED headlights with the brand’s distinctive T-shaped signatures, beautiful wood finishes with a natural, contemporary appearance as deco trim options, tailored Wool Blend upholstery a rich, comfortable fabric made from 30 per cent wool and 70 per cent recycled polyester, a 9-inch touch screen that is so responsive you can use it wearing gloves, Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 19 speakers that include a unique subwoofer able to draw air in from outside the car to create deep, rich bass and a dash-mounted tweeter, and three room modes – including Gothenburg Concert Hall.
The XC90 range includes Momentum, R-Design, Inscription, and Excellence.
