HP advertises its new Webcam Kill Switch, a physical switch that cuts power to the laptop’s webcam, in a new commercial.
The spot features various people as they do all kinds of things in front of their laptop, knowing that the Kill Switch is on. A young woman is seen in the bathtub, a young couple are featured eating a huge slice of cake, another woman shaving her armpit in the bathroom, seated on the toilet, a guy stucking baby carrots in his nostrils, a girl using dental floss, and a young man doing some karate moves on his stationary bike.
“Be you. Nobody’s watching.” onscreen lines read at the end of the spot, which also showcases the HP Spectre x360 with Windows 10.
The song used in the ad is the 1967 hit single “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tommy James and the Shondells.
