Fiat 500 Star & Rockstar Sting & Shaggy Advert Song

Fiat 500 Star & Rockstar Sting & Shaggy Advert

Fiat runs a new ad in the UK, promoting the 500 Star and Rockstar editions.

The spot, set to the rhythms of “Just One Lifetime” by Sting & Shaggy (included on the 44/876 album, winner of the Grammy Award 2019), showcases some of the models’ most important features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are integrated as standard, and hands-free texting. Shaggy and Sting make a special appearance also this time, as they watch a young couple driving the 500 Star and Rockstar. The young woman is featured at the wheel of the stylish 500 Star, driving down the streets of Barcelona and playing Sting & Shaggy’s single through Apple CarPlay thanks to the UConnect 7″ HD Live system (with free Apple Music for 6 months and access to over 50 songs with no ads). At some point, the Fiat 500 Rockstar arrives just behind her. It turns out it’s her boyfriend, who joins her at the top of a hill after leaving the city.

At the end of the video, Sting, who’s standing on a sidewalk next to Shaggy, tells his fellow that there’s no place new where he could take him. Then, the tagline “New Stars Are Born” is flashing across the screen and the voiceover informs that the two 500 editions are available at 0% APR.

The two new models in the 500 range, priced from £15,395 and £15,565 respectively, come with an updated colour palette, extended interior customization options, and more standard equipment.

The Fiat 500 Star features 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior trim and a fixed glass roof as standard and can be specced with a new metallic pink paint finish. However, there are other eight body colours to choose from, including “Avantgarde Bordeaux” and “Epic Blue”. The interior boasts a digital instrument cluster and a seven-inch infotainment system as standard. Its upholstery is available in one of two colours, both of which feature the “500” logo embroidered into the backrests.

The new Fiat 500 Rockstar shares the same specification as the 500 Star, albeit with satin finish trim, a new matte Portofino Green paint finish and pinstriped upholstery. It comes with two new dashboard colours which contrast the bodywork and a further nine paint colour options.

Both models are also available with a choice of either a 68bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine or Fiat’s 875cc TwinAir two-cylinder petrol, with 84bhp.

Fiat will also provide every new 500 owner with access to an exclusive playlist, called “120 years of songs,” which celebrates the company’s 120th anniversary.
