Volkswagen showcases the all-new Arteon in a new commercial.
The 60-second ad features a diverse range of people in various vehicles as they are looking down in awe at something that is revealed only at the end and it turns out is the new Volkswagen flagship sedan.
Scored by “Always See Your Face (Edit Version)” by American rock band Love, the video concludes with the line “Go ahead, look down on it. The all-new Volkswagen Arteon” flashing across the screen.
Unveiled at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, the 2019 Arteon was named after the Latin word for art (artem) and sets out to “open a new chapter” in the evolution of four-door coupes, according to the automaker, whose design team opted for features like chrome strips on the frameless side windows and a wraparound grille. The design team has also drew inspiration from nature and predators, including sharks.
This sedan also boasts a unique lighting architecture – the grille and headlights weave together into a seamless unit, nearly 112-inch wheelbase, which helps provide drivers and passengers with far more space than most fastback-style vehicles, offering enough space for rear-seat passengers to lean back, cross their legs, and relax, folding rear seats, that provide a total of 55 cubic feet of cargo space, a standard DCC adaptive chassis control feature, that allows drivers to configure the vehicle’s running gear for “normal,” “comfort,” or “sport” driving, a host of Driver Assistance features, including standard Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, and standard Automatic Post-Collision Braking.
The 2019 Arteon is scheduled to arrive in America this spring.
