Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming sci-fi adventure film Rim of the World.
The movie, from director McG (also known for “Charlie’s Angels” and “The Babysitter”) and writer Zack Stentz (known for “Thor” and “X-Men: First Class”), revolves around four teenagers – Alex, ZhenZhen, Dariush, and Gabriel – who spend their summer in the Rim of the World adventure summer camp and, despite the fact they have nothing in common, must band together and conquer their fears in order to save the world during an alien invasion.
The cast ensemble includes Jack Gore, Miya Cech, Benjamin Flores Jr., Alessio Scalzotto and Andrew Bachelor.
The trailer shows how aliens attack the planet and the four kids survive and join their forces to defeat the “guests”. They receive a cryptokey that can activate Earth’s satellite defense system and embark on a perilous mission, without any adults or electronics to help guide the way, to find a NASA facility dozens of miles away from the place they are in and save the world.
Rim of the World is coming to Netflix later this month, on May 24.
