Arnold Schwarzenegger and LeBron James co-star in a new commercial for their health and wellness company called Ladder.
The spot opens with a guy having a phone conversation while working out at the gym and annoying Schwarzenegger, who decides to play his warm-up playlist loud enough so that he couldn’t hear the guy anymore. Not far from him, though, there is LeBron James lifting weights and he decides to share his workout playlist, as well. DJ Khaled also makes a special appearance, cheering on James.
At the end of the ad, Ladder Whey Protein and Plant Protein – both in chocolate flavor – are shown on screen.
According to the brand, the Whey Protein has 26 grams of protein, is gluten-free, non-GMO, contains low sugar and no artificial sweeteners. The Plant Protein dietary supplement is also gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and has 21 grams of protein. The products can be purchased at prices starting at $40/month.
Launched by LeBron James, Cindy Crawford, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lindsey Vonn in 2018, Ladder started by offering four core products (two protein powders, a greens powder, and an energy powder) and creating content related to healthy living. The powders, sold directly to consumers as subscriptions, are – according to the brand – certified by the testing organization NSF International. Ladder worked with ad agency Human Design and branding shop Frank Collective.
