IKEA USA showcases its VARDAGEN dinnerware in a new commercial, aimed at highlighting that this collection coordinates well with lots of other styles because of its simple, traditional design, and offers everything you need for eating, drinking and serving.
The 30-second spot features a young woman preparing a Swedish buffet for her guests using the retailer’s VARDAGEN dinnerware series, made of stoneware and glass – natural materials that create a wholesome feel and are easy to clean, too. Serving as soundtrack is a catchy tune whose lyrics include “and everybody knows that if we look real hard and close we’re gonna fall in love” and “white light, white light is every color”.
“Vardagen” in Swedish means “every day” The VARDAGEN series includes dinnerware coordinates, such as white and black stoneware bowls, glass serving bowls, plates and deep plates, mugs, 6-pack glasses, a carage with lid, jars with lid, coffee cup and saucer, milk/cream pitcher, as well as kitchen and dining textiles, such as open glove, apron, tablecloth, tea towels, made of durable cotton and flax, featuring basic colours and simple designs, easy to incorporate into any decor.
