IKEA continues its “Wonderful Everyday” campaign with a new installment, that encourages people to “Rediscover the Joy of the Kitchen”.
The 60-second spot, available as a shorter version, as well, follows a group of curious monkeys as they discover something extraordinary in the middle of their jungle home: an IKEA kitchen, which becomes for them playground like nothing they’ve seen before. They uncover a fridge full of bananas, play with the running water and different kitchen utensils, explore drawers and cupboards and steal cereals, and drop a cup of coffee to the floor, making it break.
Throughout the video, which is set to the tune of Brenton Wood’s cover of “Psychotic Reaction” (a song originally by American garage rock band Count Five), various food storage and organising items, including the RASKOG trolley, are shown.
IKEA’s longstanding “Wonderful Everyday” campaign, which has been running since early 2014, also celebrates, in a series of short films created by the retailer’s agency Mother London, the special, but often overlooked moments from our everyday life, such as the moment a kid learns how to tie a shoelace, the moment a kid wakes up early, the moment we finally complete a crossword, and how items from IKEA can help create a festive atmosphere.
