Hulu promotes its No Ads plan in a hilarious new commercial, featuring the Old Spice guy.
The spot opens with what it looks like an Old Spice ad. Isaiah Mustafa, the actor known for his role in Old Spice “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” ad campaign, appears holding some Old Spice products, while the backdrop changes from being the top of a yacht to being a park bench. Arrived at the park bench, painted in Hulu’s colors and featuring the text “hulu,” Mustafa – who’s not riding a horse, as usual, but the respective bench, reveals this is not an Old Spice commercial, but a Hulu ad that tells you should get Hulu with no ads if you’re not into ads.
The song playing at the end of the spot is the 2018 single “Look at That Butt” by Dillon Francis featuring Jarina De Marco.
The Hulu (No Ads) plan lets viewers watch the majority of the Hulu streaming library without any ad interruptions.
Depending on the plan, customers may have access to additional content (live TV or Premium networks) that they wouldn’t get through the Hulu streaming library. However, there are a few shows from the Hulu library that are not covered by the Hulu (No Ads) plan. But with Hulu (No Ads), episodes from these shows will still stream uninterrupted with only a short ad break playing before and after each episode.
