HBO has released a new trailer, giving viewers a glimpse at the new shows, documentaries, and movies coming soon to HBO.
The 2-minute promo features scenes from the upcoming second season of the network’s hit series Big Little Lies, starring Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley, which sees Meryl Streep joining the main cast as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Perry (played by Alexander Skarsgard in Season 1). Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz, Adam Scott, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling and Iain Armitage are returning for the new episodes, set to debut later this summer, on June 9.
Another new show, set to premiere in June, too, (on the 16th) is Sam Levinson’s teen drama series Euphoria, which revolves around a group of high school students trying to discover their own identities while dealing with drugs, trauma, love, friendship, and social media. The cast ensemble includes Zendaya, Storm Reid, Maude Apatow, Algee Smith, Eric Dane, Barbie Ferreira, and more. The Righteous Gemstones, Watchmen, Deadwood, Silicon Valley, Mrs. Fletcher, Ballers, Succession, The Deuce, Divorce, Catherine the Great, His Dark Materials, Room 104, Share, Los Espookys, Years and Years, Our Boys, and others are also named.
The songs used in the trailer are the 2018 single “Something In The Air” by Steelfeather and “Starts Right Here” by Los Angeles based band Battle Tapes (ft. Valerie Broussard).
