GEICO advertises its motorcycle insurance policy in a new commercial, featuring a dad who day dreams about riding his motorcycle while at his son’s birthday party.
The 30-second spot, dubbed “Drifter,” opens with a man riding a motorcycle down an empty road and singing Whitesnake’s 1982 power ballad “Here I Go Again”. As the spot goes on, it turns out he is actually singing the song while doing balloon modelling at his son’s birthday party, surrounded by several kids. As he performs the lyrics “Like a drifter I was born to walk alone,” a girl asks him “You’re a drifter?” adding that she thought he was Kevin’s dad. “A little bit of both,” answers the man, played by Jade Carter.
“If you ride, you get it. GEICO Motorcycle. 15 minutes could save you 15% or more,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial, which also features Kailee Wright, Presley Reese, Kayden Phillips, Ayla Shelby, and Amirah J as the five kids next to Kevin’s father.
This is not the first commercial from GEICO for the company’s motorcycle insurance. A previous ad featured a groom day dreaming about riding his motorcycle while saying his wedding wows.
GEICO informs that, no matter what type of motorcycle you own, a free online motorcycle insurance quote from GEICO could help you save money on a new policy. The company promises “cheap insurance rates and great coverage” regardless of the two-wheel vehicle you have, be it a sport bike, moped, cruiser, touring bike, standard, or antique. In addition, you will find, at GEICO, which also offers ATV and scooter insurance, a “knowledgeable team of licensed motorcycle agents who are as enthusiastic about bikes as you”.
