Garmin advertises its Instinct smartwatch in a new commercial, presenting it as “the ruggedly bold GPS smartwatch capable of turning heads and owning a room”.
The 30-second spot follows a young woman with pink hair as she arrives at some sort of underground party, where bikers show off their skills and others are playing pool. Her bold outfit is accessorized with a Garmin Instinct smartwatch, that helps her stand out from the crowd.
“Stand out in a crowd and wear the ruggedly bold GPS smartwatch that does, too. Instinct from Garmin,” says the voiceover at the end of the commercial.
Constructed to U.S. military standard 810G for thermal, shock and water resistance, the GPS Instinct smartwatch features fiber-reinforced polymer case, chemically-strengthened, scratch-resistant display, and fully vented silicone bands. The device helps you stay connected with smart notifications and automatic data uploads to the Garmin Connect online fitness community, monitor your heart rate, activity and stress, train with preloaded activity profiles, and more.
In terms of battery life, it lasts up to 14 days in smartwatch mode, up to 16 hours in GPS mode, and up to 40 hours in UltraTrac battery saver mode.
The Garmin Instinct smartwatch is available in Sea Foam, Graphite, Tundra, Flame Red, Sunburst and Lakeside Blue, for $299.99 USD.
