Amazon advertises its Echo Show in a new heartwarming commercial, featuring an old man who learns how to use the voice-enabled device for his grandson’s sake.
The 30-second ad opens with the youngster telling his grandfather that he got him an Echo Show, which he can ask to play music or check the weather. The old man doesn’t seem interested at all in the new device and says nothing in response to all the things he could do with it. However, he does pay attention to the way his grandson uses it and, one day, before his arrival, he asks Alexa to play the song that the young man used to listen while doing various chores around the house, the one that goes “Valerie”. The track playing in the background is “Valerie (Version Revisited)” by Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse.
The all-new Echo Show features a vibrant 10.1″ HD screen for watching videos, movies, and TV shows, premium speakers with Dolby processing, and also lets users make video calls to anyone with Skype, the Alexa app, an Echo Spot or Echo Show, see calendars, to-do lists, set timers and alarms, add items to their shopping list, and more.
The Echo Show, available in charcoal and sandstone, is priced at $229.99. If you buy two on Amazon, you can save $100. Moreover, now, for a limited time only, if you buy Echo Show (2nd Gen), you get a free Echo Dot (3rd Gen).
