Sherwin-Williams has released a new commercial. Created by agency McKinney and titled “Hide and Seek,” the animated spot features a variety of wild animals in different shades, while in the background a catchy song with lyrics like “I’m discovering all the color in the world, I’m uncovering ohhh, ohhh, all the color in the world” is playing. A fox running around on a layer of autumn leaves, in the forest, a seahorse, an owl, a seaturtle, and purple butterflies flying across a field covered in purple flowers, towards a Sherwin-Williams store, are all featured throughout the ad, which ends with the voiceover urging viewers to “bring color to life with the very best paint,” available only at Sherwin-Williams stores.
This is not the first animated spot that constructs wild animals out of paint color chips. A 2017 commercial featured safari animals running wild through colorful landscapes. An original song composed by Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau served then as soundtrack.
