Lincoln showcases, in one of its latest ads, the all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair, presenting it as “a small luxury utility vehicle designed to adapt to life as you build it”.
The 60-second spot follows two friends as they go about their day and enjoy at the fullest some of the 2020 Corsair’s features, such as the adjusting cargo space thanks to the second-row sliding seat, integrated flexible cargo areas and configurations including a package tray and underfloor storage, kick-to-open power liftgate, different drive modes, panoramic sunroof, and more. The driver is seen picking up a friend from her yoga class, then going together at the market and buying fresh vegetables, taking a modern table from a workshop, picking up other people and attending a cooking class.
The five-passenger, two-row compact luxury crossover made its debut on Monday, April 16th, at the 2019 New York Auto Show, where Corsair chief engineer John Jraiche said the new model is intended to compete with models like the Cadillac XT4 and Lexus NX.
According to the automaker, its new entry-level crossover “combines spirited agility with responsive adaptability to deliver an exciting ride that is fun to drive”. It offers a choice between a 2.0L I-4 engine and available, powerful 2.3L engine that puts out a targeted 280-horsepower, comes with a new 8-speed transmission and 4-wheel independent suspension, and a dual wall dash between passengers and the powertrain, which is a sound-dampening barrier for a quiet and peaceful driving experience.
The all-new Corsair also boasts Lincoln Embrace, a suite of features like sequential lighting, a soft LED exterior glow, overhead lighting, and a Signature Lincoln Welcome Mat, that add a human touch to your vehicle as it activates upon your approach.
In terms of safety, the Corsair is equipped with Lincoln Co-Pilot360 technology to provide easy-to-use drivers assistance features. Blind Spot Detection with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane-Keeping System, Rear View Camera, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking are only some of the standard features. There also are additional and enhanced features, available withing the Co-Pilot360 Plus package.
The all-new Corsair will be available late fall 2019.
