Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Spanish film Despite Everything.
According to the official synopsis, the movie revolves around four sisters who, after their mother’s death, learn a shocking family secret and embark on an adventure to discover the truth about their genealogy.
The cast includes Blanca Suárez, Macarena García, Amaia Salamanca, Belén Cuesta, Maxi Iglesias, Juan Diego, Joaquín Climent, Carlos Bardem, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, Tito Valverde, Teresa Rabal, Rossy de Palma, Marisa Paredes.
The trailer features the four siblings getting all back together for their mother’s funeral, which is followed by the shocking news for them: the man they thought he was their biological father is actually not their father and, in order to get their inheritance, they must find out the identity of their real father. The women are then trying to deal with the new reality that stroke them and embarking on a quest to get samples of DNA from different men.
The song they are playing in the trailer is the 1986 single “A quién le importa” by Spanish pop rock band Alaska y Dinarama, from their 1986 “No es pecado” album.
Despite Everything is coming on the streaming service May 3rd.
