Netflix has released the trailer for its new comedy series BONDiNG, starring Zoe Levin and Brendan Scannell.
The show, created by Rightor Doyle based on his real-life experiences, revolves around Levin’s character, Tiff, a college student in New York City who also works as a dominatrix and hires her best friend from high school, Peter (Scannell), as a bodyguard.
The short-form comedy series also stars Micah Stock, Theo Stockman, Alex Hurt, D’Arcy Carden, Gabrielle Ryan, and Charles Gould.
The trailer features how Tiff asks Peter to become her bodyguard just like Kevin Costner was to Whitney Houston, which makes Peter point out that he ended up shot. The trailer, set to the tune of Robbie Nevil’s “All Eyes On You,” (a song used in several other shows, including Queer Eye season 2 and Stuck in the Middle) also gives viewers a glimpse at the different experiences for which the customers approach Tiff. One of the customers, for instance, is a woman who wants Tiff’s services for her husband but is ashamed to say it out loud.
BONDiNG, which won an Audience Award at Outfest LA, launches on the streaming service this month, on 24 April.
