Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming European thriller series Undercover.
According to the official synopsis, the show revolves around one of the largest ecstasy producers in the world, Ferry Bouman, who lives a charmed life in his villa on the Dutch-Belgian border until two undercover agents move into his territory, attempt to infiltrate his life and shut down his network.
Directed by Eshref Reybrouck and Frank Devos from a script by Nico Moolenaar, Undercover stars Tom Waes, Anna Drijver and Frank Lammers.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse into Bouman’s life before and after the appearance of the two undercover agents, without revealing too much, though. One of the scenes reveals that Bouman warns one of the two agents that he knows his type. “I can smell you a mile away. That’s why I’m still here,” he tells Waes’ character. A body set to fire, a car burning down in the middle of nowhere, gunshots are also featured throughout the intense promo.
Season 1 of Undercover, consisting of 10 episodes, will launch on the streaming service on May 3rd.
