CHANEL advertises its new luxury J12 watch with Kenissi movement in a new commercial, that carries the tagline “It’s all about seconds”.
The spot, dubbed “40 Seconds of Inspiration,” is 40 seconds long and features a sailboat in the ocean on a windy day (as a note, the watch claims inspiration from racing yachts, according to the brand), a woman enjoying the wind in her hair, ocean water, and waves hitting the rocks, and a woman driving a convertible down a road.
“It’s all about seconds. The new J12. CHANEL” onscreen lines read at the end of the commercial, which showcases the luxury timepiece in its two available colors – black and white.
Presented as “the iconic Chanel watch with an identity that has withstood the test of time,” the new J12 boasts the company’s Caliber 12.1 automatic movement by Geneva-based manufacturer Kenissi and holds a 70-hour power reserve for seamless use, day in and day out. The 38mm luxury timepiece also features ceramic elements that are highly resistant to scratching and marring, dial with windowed date, and a refined bezel, with notches increasing to 40 all around.
The watch, unveiled earlier this month, at Baselworld World Watch and Jewelery Show in Basel (Switzerland), will release on April 30, 2019 at Chanel boutiques worldwide in two colors – classic black and white ceramic. The price is set at $5,700 USD.
