Toyota Corolla Hybrid Advert Song – Move Ahead

Toyota Corolla Hybrid Advert

Toyota showcases the Corolla Hybrid in a new advert running in the UK, that illustrates how every significant automotive innovation has had its moment in the spotlight only to be overtaken by the next one, that better meets the needs of society.

The spot opens with some horse-drawn carriages and goes on featuring a man driving the all-new Corolla Hatchback Hybrid in Scarlet Flare Bi-Tone as he passes by various vehicles created over the decades and leads the way with its self-charging hybrid technology. Among the shown cars are the 1930s gangster cars, the 1950s hot rods, a sports car from the 1980s and diesel cars. The Toyota 2000GT, originally built in 1967 and known for being a certain James Bond’s favourite 007 car, is also featured.

“As the world moves forward, what will your choice be?” the voiceover asks at the end of the commercial, which also sees the Corolla driving into the sunset, over the iconic Nelson Mandela bridge in the outskirts of Barcelona.
The soundtrack music is “Sing, Sing, Sing (With A Swing),” a song originally written in 1936 by Louis Prima, performed by Benny Goodman.

Filmed in Teruel, Spain, the advert was directed by award-winning directors Sam Brown and Mark Jenkinson.

According to the automaker, with the new Corolla Hybrid, you will enjoy “excellent fuel efficiency alongside super-low emissions, which fall to zero when you drive on electric power alone.” The Toyota Corolla Hybrid family also include the Corolla Hatchback and Corolla Touring Sports, now available with a new 2.0 litre Hybrid Dynamic Force engine delivering even more power.

Corolla, built on Toyota’s advanced new TNGA engineering platform, features a more rigid body and low centre of gravity to reduce body roll when cornering, double wishbone suspension to absorb shocks more effectively, and an optimised driving position to help cut down fatigue on long journeys.

Described as “bold and dynamic,” the Corolla Hatchback features a wide front and low bonnet, that give it a streamlined look, 18″ alloy wheels, a wide, striking grille and distinctive all-LED headlamps. The Corolla Touring Sports delivers a sleek look, but also adds extra space, thanks to its generous boot space with an adjustable deck board and easily folded seats. The “stylish and practical” Corolla Sedan boasts refined lines and shares the wide stance of the rest of the Corolla range. Toyota Safety Sense, consisting of a range of intelligent driver aids, is standard across every Corolla.
