Dating Around (Trailer Netflix)

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming dating show Dating Around.

According to the official synopsis, the show follows six real-life singles as they navigate five first dates on a mission to find one perfect match worthy of a second date. Each episode will revolve around one single as they navigate five blind dates. The streaming service says that this documentary-style series welcomes viewers to a “a new era of modern romance – with a twist,” having no filter and showing everything, from sweet glances to awkward encounters.

“Hope you’re not a serial killer,” says a young blonde woman, after raising a glass for the first blind date of her life. “I think sometimes people swipe past the best thing out there,” she says during one of her other blind dates. A conversation between other two singles, this time a little bit older, sees the woman saying she’s like the goodie girl, revealing she’s never done a drug. Willing to know if her date did, she is shocked to receive his answer: “Yeah, I love them.” The trailer also features same sex singles who meet up for first blind dates.

The song used in the trailer is the 2018 single “Turn” by the English rock band The Wombats, featuring Dagny, from the band’s fourth studio album, “Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life”.

Dating Around, which marks Netflix’s first original dating show, is set to launch later this month, on Valentine’s Day.
