Metro by T-Mobile Commercial - Giraffa

Metro by T-Mobile has released a new ad, highlighting that you can catch all the basketball you want with a network that covers 99% of people in the U.S., just like the big guys.

The 15-second spot features two giraffes that play basketball. “I’m catching all the games with Metro,” one of them says, adding that he loves basketball. “Yeah? We should play,” answers his fellow. As they start playing, a zebra shows up and announces a foul.

The commercial ends with the voiceover urging viewers to catch all the action on the court with Metro and get coast to coast coverage for the whole family.

The song playing at the end of the ad is the instrumental part of Usher’s 2004 single “Yeah!” featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, from Usher’s fourth studio album, Confessions, released in 2004.

Since launching its new advertising campaign, following the acquisition by T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile has used various animals to pitch its deals, from wildebeests, to grizzly bears to penguins and otters. The latest commercial from the carrier features two otters that are swimming in a hot spring and are enjoying it a lot. One of them has one more reason to be happy, though – he switched his whole family to Metro (because they “were paying too much with AT&T”) and now they are saving $1200 on “a great network”. The previous ads featured two wildebeests on the bank of a river, talking to each other, two grizzly bears talking about the company’s new plans, that include unlimited high-speed data, Amazon Prime for entertainment and Google One for more storage, and a family of penguins talking about the company’s deal that offers 4 new lines for $100.
