Fiat celebrates the victory of Sting and Shaggy for the Best Reggae Album at this year’s Grammy Awards with a teaser for the new Fiat 500 Family advertising campaign, sharing the right music vibes and giving viewers a glimpse at the newest addition to the Fiat line-up, launched to celebrate the brand’s 120th anniversary.
The spot opens with a young curly-haired woman getting into her Fiat 120th Anniversary Edition and hitting the road. As she starts driving, though, she sees Sting and Shaggy singing in the backseat. After picking up a friend, they both see the two artists all buckled up, performing their forthcoming single “Just One Lifetime” in the backseat. And when they go to a karaoke bar and get up on stage to sing, Sting and Shaggy show up by their side, proving it’s not only their imagination.
The teaser was directed by Joseph Kahn, who also directed the music video for Sting and Shaggy’s new single “Just One Lifetime,” and worked with various other musicians including Jennifer Lopez, U2, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
This is not the first time Fiat and Sting & Shaggy collaborate. In 2018, the Fiat 124 Spider took a starring role alongside Sting and Shaggy in the music video for their single “Gotta Get Back My Baby”.
