Dove and Kelly Rowland present a hair anthem to girls who wear the hair they love proudly. The singer partnered with the drugstore giant to tackle issues such as hair stereotypes and bullying and encourage young girls to stand up to hair stereotypes.
Part of the brand’s new “Love Your Hair” campaign, the music video for the song opens with a diverse cast sharing their bullying stories and features Kelly surrounded by them. Faith Fennidy, Tyrielle Davis, and Sarah Orrick are only some of the girls that talk about their hair-related experiences.
Rowland says Dove gave her complete creative control with reference to the writing process, and actually asked her to write the song from her unique perspective.
