Yves Saint Laurent advertises its Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick in a new commercial starring Kaia Gerber.
The 16-year-old top model stops seduces a tram driver with her look to stop the vehicle and give her a ride then starts a party by sharing her music and her lipstick. After making him believe she wants to kiss him, she actually pushes a button to stop the tram and get down, not before taking by the hand another guy.
The song playing in the ad is the single “Like Boys” by French electro-pop band Hyphen Hyphen, from their 2018 album, “HH”.
The YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Oil in Stick comes in dozens of different shades and is available for purchase for $38.
Kaia Gerber, who became, in October 2018, the youngest ambassador for YSL Beauty, also starred in a commercial for the brand’s Fall 2018 campaign. Wearing a Mongolian fur coat with a lightweight blouse, accessorized with layered necklaces, a black belt and voluminous statement boots, she posed in front of David Sims for a video set to the tune of “Venus in Furs” by The Velvet Underground.
Cindy Crawford’s daughter also debuted three out of the eighty looks included in Saint Laurent’s Fall 2018 show, which took place underneath the Eiffel Tour in Paris. During her runaway showcase, she sported a black mini dress, an embroidered floral dress, dramatic oversized hats and more.
As an ambassador for YSL Beauty, she will also star in commercials as the face of the brand’s Touche Éclat and Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils.
Gerber has a large portfolio in terms of advertising, fronting campaigns for Chanel, Versace, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. For the last one, she filmed a commercial recently released, showing the new Daisy Love fragrance. She also appears in her very first Chanel handbag campaign, as part of the line’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection.
