Versace has released its Spring Summer 2019 campaign films and one of them features Bella Hadid as the #VersaceSS19 Medusa.
Directed by Ferdinando Verderi, the video shows the supermodel lying among shopping bags and boxes that carry the fashion house’s name. Wearing a stylish outfit, accessorized with a belt and lots of jewelries, she is first seen with her eyes closed, as if she fell asleep on the floor while reading a book. As the spot goes on, it turns out she’s was not lying on the floor. She opens her eyes and starts strutting down the room, leaving behind not only dozens of shopping bags and shoe boxes, but also a painting that carries the label’s name.
The soundtrack music is the Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125, “Choral”: II. Molto Vivace composed by Beethoven and performed by Zagreb Philarmic Orchestra.
The Italian label’s Spring/Summer 2019 campaign, which is inspired by its SS93 also features Irina Shayk, Imaan Hammam, 2018 Model of the Year nominee Adut Akech, as well as ’90s supermodel Shalom Harlow, who have posed in front of Steven Meisel for a series of portraits aimed at illustrating the “Versace family”.
