French actress Camille Cottin front Chanel’s campaign for the brand’s J12 ceramic wristwatch.
One of the spots included in the campaign, titled “Follow Me” and directed by Eloise Lang, features Camille and her boyfriend running into a movie theater. Wearing the Chanel J12 ceramic wristwatch, she pushes the door, but doesn’t keep it open, so her partner hits it and falls to the floor. “Are you ok, darling?” she asks him. He says he is, but he still needs a moment to pick himself up. Later on, during the film, she apologizes for the scene before, explaining that she doesn’t know her own strength.
The song used in the ad is “La Grenade” by French musician Clara Luciani, from her 2018 album, “Sainte Victoire”.
First unveiled in 2000, the J12 was the first unisex watch released by Chanel and it soon became a bestseller.
Featuring revolutionary hi-tech ceramic, it is now available in multiple variants – J12 Graffiti, at 38mm in diameter, J12.XS watch, at 19mm diameter, boasting a bezel and bracelet set in brilliant-cut or baguette-cut diamonds in its high-jewellery editions, J12 Flying Tourbillon, coming in beige gold or white gold, are only some of them.
