The 30-second spot opens with a man who remembers he didn’t get anything for his wife the moment when a friend randomly asks him, while they’re watching a basketball game, what he got for her. Determined to put something under the Christmas tree for Paige, his wife, the man buys a Fitbit Versa smartwatch from Walmart and chooses to pick it up the same day.
In the store, not only him, but many other men (who are probably in the same situation like him) head to the Pickup point to get their orders.
The commercial informs that Pickup Today orders must be placed by 4pm local time on December 23 for pickup on December 24, as orders are usually processed within 4 hours.
The soundtrack music is the 1977 hit single “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees, from the Saturday Night Fever motion picture soundtrack.
