Jimmy Choo showcases its Diamond sneakers, available in men’s and women’s styles, in a new commercial.
The spot features two modern street dancers, a man and a woman, dressed in all-white and all-black outfits alternatively, whose energy and technical footwork have been captured by French-Italian filmmaker Lisa Paclet.
Serving as the soundtrack is the 2014 song “Gimme Some” by Dutch duo Weval, from their “Easier” EP.
Launched last month, in October, the lavish Swarovski crystal-studded sneakers, which were made for walking, are described as “the refined sportswear silhouette of a vintage racing shoe, superimposed into a diamond-soled footprint.” An “innovative new double sole construction where a flat classic sole is attached to the upper as an inner shoe, which is then enclosed in an inventive transparent sole made from a special plastic mould,” a sole inspired by tank treads when they are cored out at key flex points, are the “ingredients” of the new trainer from the luxury brand.
Apart from the Swarovski crystal-studded hero style, these sneakers also come in a tonal leather form in a palette of white and silver for women, and amber, black, navy contrasted with white for men. There’s also a limited edition in sterling silver plated python.
Prices start from for $782 for the Silver Metallic Leather and White Calf Leather Low Top Trainers and go up to $3,372 for the Crystal Shimmer Suede Low Top Trainers with Crystal Details.
