Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Christmas-themed romantic comedy The Princess Switch, starring Vanessa Hudgens.
The film, directed by directed by Mike Rohl from a script by Megan Metzger and Robin Bernheim, follows Stacy, a Chicago baker, and Margaret, Duchess of Montenaro, as they hatch a plan to trade places for two days, on the eve of the latter’s New Year’s Day wedding with a prince, so that she could have a taste of normal life. The cast also includes Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar.
The trailer, which carries the message “A chance encounter is the chance of a lifetime. This holiday season walking in someone else’s shoes is harder than it looks, ” reveals quite a lot from the movie, starting with the encounter between the two young women who look alike, the way their days go by while being in the other’s shoes, and how Margaret falls in love with Stacy’s handsome co-worker Stacy with Margaret’s fiance, Prince Edward.
The song used in the trailer is the 2017 single “The Way She Moves” by Photronique featuring Shari Short.
The Princess Switch launches on the streaming service this month, on November 16.
