DIRECTV continues its “More For Your Thing” campaign with a new spot, highlighting that you can watch college football games anywhere with the DIRECTV app.
The 30-second spot, titled “Barbershop”, features several football fans having their hair cut in different styles to celebrate their favorite college team, while watching them play on smartphone, with the DIRECTV app. The logo of the Missouri Tigers football team, which represents the University of Missouri, gets a spot on a guy’s nape, and various fans – both men and women – are seen rocking in their hair logos of other college football teams, such as the elephant representing the University of Alabama’s team, the razorback representing the University of Arkansas’s team, and more.
The soundtrack music is the 2018 single “Caught The Feeling” by SNVRS.
Launched earlier this year, in February, the “More For Your Thing” campaign, aimed at replacing the different disparate messages AT& has been using for its various divisions, debuted with a commercial from agency partners BBDO, Organic and Hearts & Science that illustrated how AT&T brings customers “More for your thing” through more entertainment, Internet and unlimited plans.
Numerous other spots followed throughout the following months, promoting AT&T’s offering, as well as DIRECTV’s offering, which included a $200 reward card (valid until March 31st, 2018) for customers who switch to its services.
