Asda has launched its Christmas advert, highlighting that the retailer has everything you need to “bring Christmas home”.
The spot, titled “Bring Christmas Home,” opens with Santa firing a cannon from the top of a mountain and features a little girl watching as hundreds of people of all ages, including dancing skiers, motorbike riders and even yetis, rush towards her house and bring the festive spirit with lots of gifts and delicious food.
“Everything you need to bring Christmas home,” the voiceover says at the end of the spot, adding the chain’s tagline, “Save money. Live better”.
The advert, scored by Darlene Love’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” marks the first major TV spot from creative agency AMV BBDO, which won the account earlier this year and also created this year’s Christmas ad for Currys PC World.
The supermarket chain encourages you “snuggle up and find inspiration to Bring Christmas Home,” highlighting that it has everything you need, from toys and gifts to the paper to wrap them in, cosy knitwear to the cutest PJs, pre-lit Christmas trees to a Christmas tree teapot, a range of festive food to keep your mouth watering, with treats like the Extra Special Ultimate Pig In Blanket and the Extra Special Raspberry & Pistachio Wreath. On its website, the retailer also provides you with this season’s must-have festive trends, that include dark iridescent and shimmering decorations, brushed cotton bedding, snuggly blankets, tartan patterned tableware, candles and lights. When it comes to the Christmas tree, Asda says you can choose from a wide range and pick one that is the perfect size and shape for your home.
