Rimmel London runs a new TV ad in Canada, starring Rita Ora, to showcases the Stay Satin liquid lip colour.
The spot features the English pop star in a bathroom, in front of the mirror, putting on the new lip colour from Rimmel London in Obsession shade, while she’s heard saying in voiceover that “everything was louder in the ’80s – the music, the looks, and lip colours.” In the meantime, she’s also seen playing the Animotion’s version of the 1983 song “Obsession”, included on their self-titled debut album, released in 1984.
The ad, which also highlights that the Stay Satin liquid lipstick provides loud colour in one stroke, with a lightweight satin finish, and lasts up to 8 hours, ends with Rita Ora saying “Loud never fades” and the brand’s longtime tagline “Live the London Look”.
The Stay Satin Liquid Lipstick comes in 14 shades, including – besides Obsession – Yuppie, Sike, It Girl, Redical, For Sure, Scrunchie, As If, Take a Chill Pill, Rad, Shoulder Pads, Atomic, Have a Cow, and Glam Rock.
This is not the first time Rita Ora stars in a lipstick advertising campaign for Rimmel London. In 2017, she also showcased the Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick, available 14 bold lip colours with a vivid velvet matte finish from the very first stroke, from rosy nudes to show-stopping daring shades, in a print campaign, as well as in a commercial.
