Head Count has released a spot encouraging people to express their right to vote at the 2018 Midterm Election.

Part of the #TheFutureIsVoting campaign, the spot was produced by ACE Content and directed by Matt Sukkar and features a curly young woman barefoot on a beach, looking straight to the camera after walking into the water. “We know the stakes. The Future Is Voting. November 6” onscreen lines read throughout the 15-second video, titled “What’s At Stake,” which also directs viewers to the HeadCount’s website for information on how to register to vote and get election information.

The soundtrack music is the song “God’s Whisper” by American singer, songwriter and rapper from Atlanta Raury (born Raury Deshawn Tullis). The track appears in the motion pictures American Honey.

The campaign also included a tour by Jim James and HeadCount in six college towns and campuses in competitive election districts across America. Between October 7 and October 17, James visited Emo’s, Texas State University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Georgia Theatre, Simpson College and Canopy Club, played solo sets and candidates of all political affilliations held Q&As with students. Benjamin Booker and Made of Oak also perform at select tour stops.
