Air New Zealand Economy Skycouch Commercial Song

Air New Zealand showcases, in a new ad, “the best way to shorten long-haul”: Economy Skycouch, which provides that extra bit of space for your little ones to stretch out, meaning a more relaxed flight for everyone.

The 60-second spot features several families with little kids flying with Air New Zealand and enjoying the comfort the Economy Skycouch provides. Mothers with one and even two children are seen smiling while playing with them, nursing them and having a great flight. To top up the experience, the crew members come to bring them food and snack and to make the little ones smile. The ad also shows the Infant Pod and Harness, which enable passengers to fly with two restless kids on the one Skycouch.

The soundtrack music is Gin Wigmore’s version of “Tomorrow” from the musical “Annie,” sung as a lullaby, especially for Air New Zealand. The track is not available on Spotify or for purchase.

The airline’s Economy Skycouch is basically a row of Economy seats that can be turned into a couch after takeoff, allowing passengers to use it as seating, a couch or even a play area. The Skycouch Infant Harness, Belt & Pod, which provides additional comfort and protection for infants and peace of mind for parents or caregivers, will be available on all Air New Zealand Boeing 777 and 787-9 operated long-haul services from later in 2018.
