Volvo has released a new commercial that introduces the new V60 Cross Country, which will be available in the first quarter of 2019.
The spot begins with a narrator reciting a poem, while the car is seen facing all weathers on different kinds of roads. “We trail the beaten path overcoming nature’s rough, as the dark cloud divide, our journey is our stride,” the voiceover says, as the film’s protagonists, a young couple, are shown. The two lovers are then seen travelling from the city through stunning landscapes, while in the background the 2018 single “Breathe” by Swedish-Gambian singer Seinabo Sey is playing.
Described as “a premium estate car created to take you to the heart of the adventure,” the new V60 Cross Country features bold design cues such as a unique front grille and an embossed rear bumper logo, raised ground clearance and tough body cladding, and an interior boasting a 9-inch centre display with touch-screen, that allows you to access a host of useful and entertaining features, a four-zone climate system, a world-class audio system from Bowers & Wilkins, optional laminated side windows, and more.
In terms of safety, the Cross Country comes with Pilot Assist, Distance Alert, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, City Safety with Steering Support, Driver Alert Control, Road Sign Information, Emergency Brake light and Hazard Warning, Brakes with Hill Start Assist and Automatic Hold and more.
Volvo’s V60 range also includes V60 Momentum, V60 Inscription and V60 R-Design.
