After releasing the longest-ever advertising images, Versace has launched a new instalment in its Fall/Winter 2018 campaign, featuring the Versace family singing in unison.
Directed by Ferdinando Verderi, the ad shows the 54 models tapped by the Italian luxury brand, from well-known names like Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, Imaan Hammam, Vittoria Ceretti, and Grace Elizabeth, to rising stars like Chicago-based skateboarder turned model Ansley Gulielmi, who launched from the unknown to the cover of Italian Vogue in 2017, and Sara Grace Wallerstedt, a 19-year-old freckled model from Bedford, who started her career in 2016. Oscar Kindelan, Kris Grikaite, David Alexander Flinn, Julia Nobis, Salomon Diaz, Remington Williams, Matt Pitt, Sohyun Jung, Natalie Ogg, and many more star in the video, performing “O Fortuna”, set to music by German composer Carl Orff as a part of “Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi”, the opening and closing movement of his cantata Carmina Burana.
Donatella Versace said the Versace Clans are “made of all members of the Versace family – from customers to models, fans, photographers, stylists, friends, artists and all who believe that staying relevant means moving forward and making your voice heard – all who believe that fashion is not a way to just say ‘look at me’ but rather ‘look at me, I have something to say'”.
