“Creators aren’t born. They’re made.” This is what Samsung states in its new campaign for Galaxy camera, described as “a new series for creators by creators,” which allows you to see creative process and learn secrets for creating with the revolutionary Galaxy camera.
Issa Rae, who already appeared in a spot aimed at encouraging viewers to “keep making until you make it”, Nat Geo photographer Cory Richards, YouTube star Anna Akana, Connor Franta, Alfredo Flores, share their stories and secrets for creating with the Galaxy camera in different episodes, meant to inspire people to make more with their phone.
The song used in the ad is the 2014 single “No Twerk feat. Panther X Odalisk (Original Mix)” by Belgian DJ and music producer John De Buck, professionally known as Apashe.
The first episode of the series features adventure photographer Cory Richards capturing Iceland in only a day with his Galaxy S9. Accompanied by up-and-coming photographer Austin Jensen, he sets out to various places from across the country, such as Hot Springs, Olkelduhals, famous for the existing geothermal system put in place, Waterfall Valley, Kvenfunoss, and Braider River, Kerlingadalur, where they found wild horses, to shoot some photos using the camera filters.
Episode 2 features director, actress, and vlogger Anna Akana as she makes a video with up-and-coming actor and comedian Karen Sepulveda as her guest.
26-year-old YouTuber Connor Franta and music director Alfredo Flores, who has worked for celebrities like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Pitbull and Mariah Carey, will also star in the campaign.
