Peugeot presents the new Peugeot e-LEGEND concept, its full electric, autonomous car with a vintage look, in a dedicated commercial.
The spot features the throwback-style concept car, which is inspired by the old-school 504 Coupe model from the late 1960s, showcasing its design and elements from the interior, such as vintage-looking bucket seats wrapped in velvet, a dashboard largely comprised of screens, that are tucked into the door panels, dashboard, sun visors and center console, the steering wheel capable of folding into the dashboard, and more.
According to the automaker, the e-Legend Concept boasts an electric motor that puts out about 456 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, enough to reach (theoretically) 62 mph in under 4 seconds. With 100 kilowatt-hours of batteries on board, Peugeot estimates that the vehicle, which has two autonomous and two manual driving modes, will have a range of about 373 miles by European-standard (WLTP) estimates.
The commercial, released with the #UnboringTheFuture hashtag and aimed at highlighting the idea that technology and fun should go hand in hand and cars should still be able to thrill and surprise, is set to the rhythms of “Who Wants It (Remix By Postaal)” by KCPK.
The new Peugeot e-Legend Concept, which was also teased through a series of photos, will make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show, taking place from October 4th to 14th.
