OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300 Watch Daniel Craig Commercial

Swiss luxury watchmaker Omega has announced Daniel Craig as the face of the new Seamaster Diver 300M and has released a commercial featuring the actor as he surfaces for air.

Dressed in a dark elegant suit, accessorized with a bowtie and a Seamaster Diver 300M watch, the James Bond star is seen swimming to the surface. The Seamaster Diver 300M, which has enjoyed a legendary following since its launch, in 1993, is then showcased before the brand’s logo appears on screen.

This year, the Seamaster Diver 300M collection celebrates 25 years with a full makeover from the inside out, according to the Swiss label, which states that, while the original design and ocean spirit are still there, now every model features advanced materials and updates, such as a new size (42mm), a new ceramic bezel with the diving scale in Ceragold or white enamel, the Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 inside, wave pattern laser-engraved, reshaped skeleton hands, and more. The sleek dials are made from ceramic and are available in black, blue or PVD chrome colour and the indexes have been raised and filled with Super-LumiNova. One of the most important details, the helium escape valve, now has a conical shape and has been patented by OMEGA with a technology that allows it to be operated underwater.

The Seamaster Diver 300M collection includes 14 new models – 6 in stainless steel and 8 in a mix of stainless steel and gold, each of them presented on an integrated black or blue rubber strap or a traditional metal bracelet.
The company, based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, described Craig as the perfect choice for the role of brand ambassador.

Recently, the latter has been the subject of news informing that Danny Boyle, who was supposed to direct the upcoming 007 movie, titled “Bond 25”, quit after a disagreement with Craig over casting the villain. Thus, the film, slated for release on November 8, 2019, might not hit theathers until late 2020, according to THR.

In his James Bond movies, Daniel Craig wears a Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial, a Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial, the OMEGA Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition with rare lollipop seconds hand and black and grey NATO strap, and the OMEGA Aqua Terra 150m, which is described as “a striking watch with a blue dial that recalls OMEGA’s rich maritime heritage and Bond’s naval background”.
