Netflix has released a teaser for its upcoming series Baby, set to launch November 30th.
“Growing up is an undisclosed secret.” the streaming service states as description of the new show, which is an Italian production inspired by the true story of the call-girls from Parioli. The series revolves around a group of teenagers living in Parioli, one of Rome’s wealthiest residential neighborhoods, who defy society in seach of their identity and independence. Forbidden love stories, family pressure and secrets are only some of the “ingredients” of Baby, which is about kids who are in desperate need of love and embark on a journey for finding love and happiness.
Written by five young authors, Eleonora Trucchi, Antonio Le Fosse,Giacomo Mazzariol, Marco Raspanti, and Re Salvador, the series stars Benedetta Porcaroli, Alice Pagani, Anna Negri, Isabella Ferrari, Claudia Pandolfi, Riccardo Mandolini, and Paolo Calabresi.
The teaser features Benedetta Porcaroli dressed in a chemise, in front of a mirror, putting on some red lipstick, while in the background is playing the 2015 song “Girls Just Wanna Have Some” by Chromatics, which is a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”.
The case of call-girls from Parioli surfaced in October 2013, when it was discovered that two teenagers aged 14 and 15, from the Roman neighborhood, were prostituting themselves in an apartment, under the protection of a man who was setting up encounters for them.
