MetroPCS advertises its new limited-time deal, that gives customers the chance to get three free phones when they switch three lines, in a new commercial.
“At MetroPCS everyone’s celebrating an amazing deal. Switch now and get your choice of three free phones from great brands. Plus get a third line with unlimited high-speed data free,” the voiceover says on the 15-second spot, which features a young woman taking a photo of a burger in a restaurant kitchen, a couple of cheerleaders showing up at a party and giving high-five to one of the guests, a couple at the gym also giving high give after their workout routine, two guys taking photos of their friends on the basketball court, while they’re trying to shoot a basket, and a bunch of youngsters who are also celebrating.
The ad, scored by the 2017 single “Check It Out” by alternative rock band Oh The Larceny, from their eponymous album, also informs that the offer is valid when you switch 3 lines to a $60 rate plan and that sales tax and activation fee are added.
The company has used this track in several other ads, that promoted various limited-time deals. One of them is “Peace of Mind,” a spot that featured a young woman, who – after being informed by a MetroPCS employee that she can experience peace of mind by trying out the company’s unlimited data for free, for two months – starts flashing the peace sign to every person she meets on her way.
