Xbox has released a new spot advertising the Forza Horizon 4, the upcoming seasonal-themed racing game from Microsoft and Playground Games, which launches on October 2nd for Xbox One and Windows 10.
The video includes images of an actor on set – played by Canadian voice actor and former stand-up comedian Maurice LaMarche (also known as Brain for Pinky and the Brain) reading the script for the commercial, under the direction of a director, juxtaposed with footage from the multiplayer game. The actor, who is initially convinced he’ll get in one take, proves to be overwhelmed by the game’s peculiarities.
He starts with a description of Great Britain, which is presented as “a land of dazzling beauty and extraordinary diversity,” and mentions that, “Season after season, changes arrive”. He then has some trouble with some words, including “hoonigans” and “multiplayer”, and continues to read the script, which also reveals that “Every creature soars over the greatest Britain ever” and “4 changes everything”.
The ad also informs that, by preordering the game’s Ultimate Edition, you get 4-day early access, two expansion packs, Car Pass, VIP Membership, and more.
Forza Horizon 4 will be getting two console bundles – a 1TB Xbox One S bundle for $300 and a 1TB Xbox One X bundle for $500. Xbox One X players will be able to experience Forza Horizon 4 in native 4K HDR, and will also receive a digital download of Forza Motorsport 7.
