GAP advertises the GapBody Fall 2018 collection in a new ad, starring founder of Scars Are Beautiful project, Brigitta Zatko.
The spot features Brigitta introducing herself and saying she wants to be who she is is without her scars, while wearing pieces from the new GapBody collection. A survivor of congenital heart disease, she travels the world photographing others with open-heart surgery scars to help rebuild their self-esteem and reshape society’s standard of beauty.
The song used in the ad is the 2016 single “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” by Felix Jaehn featuring Jasmine Thompson.
A few years back, Brigitta opened up to the world for the first time about her heart condition and posted a photograph of herself with her scars on Facebook and Instagram. She also started an online campaign on Instagram in which open heart surgery survivors from all over the world have united to pose with their chest scars for the photography project called SCARS ARE BEAUTIFUL.
The GapBody collection includes undies, loungewear, underwear, bridal lingerie, sleepwear, bras, pajamas for women, nursing bras, and more.
