Amazon advertises its secure, self-service kiosks, called Amazon Locker, in a new spot, highlighting that they help you keep the surprise a surprise. “Whether you’re across town or across the country, sending a gift to friends and family is easy with Amazon Locker,” the Seattle-based e-commerce and cloud computing company states.
The ad features a guy ordering a vynil for his friend, who then goes at the nearest Amazon Locker and picks up the package. Finally, the two youngsters are seen dancing to the rhythms of the same song, each in their own house.
Amazon Locker is easy to use and with no additional fees, according to Amazon. First, you should check if there is an Amazon Locker near you, add chosen Locker to your address book and confirm payment details, and then shop as usual and select your Amazon Locker at checkout. Your package will arrive in time to surprise your loved ones. Once the package has been delivered, the recipient is emailed a unique 6 digit code, which must be used on the Locker’s touchscreen, to make the Locker’s door open. Customers have 3 calendar days to pick up their package. If they’re not able to collect it within this timeframe, it will be returned to Amazon for a refund.
