Expedia advertises its Add-On Advantage, which allows consumers the flexibility to book their hotel right up the day they leave for a trip, as well as the advantage to get discounted prices on the hotel stay.
“A hotel can make or break a trip. And at Expedia we don’t think you should be rushed into booking one. That’s why we created Expedia’s Add-On Advantage. Now, after booking your flight, you unlock on selected discounts on selected hotels for your trip that are available right until the day you leave,” the voiceover says on the 30-second spot, adding the strapline “Add-On Advantage – Discounted hotels when you add on to your trip. Only when you book on Expedia”.
The service, announced last month, on June 13, is available exclusively for Expedia travelers, after they book a flight, car or package on Expedia. They can thus unlock up to 41% off select hotels (that have the Add-On badge). “The launch of the Add-On Advantage is yet another example of how we are listening to our travelers and helping to bring their next trip within reach,” Aaron Price, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Expedia, said in a press statement.
The travel booking website owned by Expedia Group can be used to book airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises and vacation packages. Now headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, the company is expected to relocate to Seattle, Washington, next year.
