Chrysler has released a new ad starring Kathryn Hahn to showcase the new Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and Pacifica S.
The 50-second spot, titled “Shallow Thoughts,” features the actress at the wheel of Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, noticing that she can hear her thoughts since the minivan is so quiet. Thus, she finds herself asking questions like “Where can I go with a 566 mile driving range?”, “Why arent’s shorts half the price of pants?”, “How do you throw away a garbage can?”, and “Do vegetariants still eat animal crackers?”. Finally, she reminds herself to always give 100% unless she’s giving blood and plays Gary Wright’s “Dream Weaver”. When she sees another Pacifica on the road (the 2018 Pacifica S with optional Front Crash Prevention and Specific Headlights), she praises the driver, in her thoughts, for the safe choice and smiles. The driver, a woman who recognizes Kathryn, imagines that the latter is on super green and healthy, but she soon learns that it’s not quite like that: the actress grabs her burger, which is according to her, “the best burger ever”, and bites into it with vigor.
At the end of the commercial, the automaker encourages you to “Up your van game”.
