Hyundai celebrates its status of proud sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in a new campaign starring Maroon 5.
The campaign includes a spot focusing on smart technology safety features available on Hyundai vehicles, such as Safe Exit Assist and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, which help customers enjoy a positive experience on and off the road. The commercial shows how the Safe Exit Assists helps avoid a tragedy when one of the kids in the backseat of a Hyundai Santa Fe, impatient to get out of the car, is trying to open the door in the parking lot right when a bus is approaching to pass by. Luckily, the SEA system automatically locks the doors when trying to opening them in order to secure passenger safety in vehicle and warns the driver to check surroundings and then try again, which proves to be a life-saving feature. Filmed against a football stadium backdrop, the spot also features a driver who’s almost bumping into a shuttle bus in the parking lot, but – thanks to the Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, his car, a blue Hyundai Kona, stops just in time.
The multi-platinum GRAMMY Award winning band, which teamed up with the automotive company to spread a message of joy and positivity and pay tribute to Bob Marley, performs a version of the reggae legend’s iconic feel-good anthem “Three Little Birds” (originally featuring The Wailers) against the same football stadium backdrop.
The new campaign will launch for the first time at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia with a new television advertising campaign, according to a press statement. In addition, Hyundai’s new fuel cell electric NEXO model is showcased in a music video created by Grammy award winning director Joseph Kahn.
